What I like most is how well it’s designed for quail specifically. The drinking area is small enough that they can’t get in and make a mess or drown, but still easy for them to access. It keeps the water pretty clean compared to open dishes, which is a big deal when you’re raising hatchling quail. It’s also simple no complicated parts or setup. Just fill it, flip it, and it works. Once it’s set, it keeps a steady water level and doesn’t leak or tip over easily. Overall, it’s reliable, low maintenance, and does exactly what you need. If you’re raising quail, this kind of waterer is definitely worth having.

Nothing specifically wrong, but a few notes to consider. The bracket creates a point for the birds claws to get caught in (mine did) and the threaded bottle is just one more annoyance since you can’t effectively clean the bottle through the neck without a skinny brush. ick! I like the slip fit bottles since they are easy to clean.
