This is a great set of tubes and syringes for gavage feeding. As a wildlife rehabber it is important to have a good set and this is well made and works great. They don’t get plugged up and are easy to clean. I do wish they offered a variety of sizes but these are good for small mammals(kitten sized) and avians. Anything smaller than a kitten would need a smaller tube.

My daughter was in the NICU and I was planning on breastfeeding these worked as a supplemental breastfeeding system just fine, minus the price tag. I would put my breast milk in the tube and then tape the line by my nipple and then slowly push the milk out

I currently have a clear tube that is easy to guide to the back of the hens throat but this tube is so soft, there’s no way I could guide it there. I have to hold the beak open and push the plunger with my other hand..I need something stiffer.

This is a must if you are in kitten rescue. YOU MUST BE CAREFUL when measuring to the stomach!! If you do not make into their belly you can kill them with flooding their lungs! 🫁
Once you get the tube in place, you need to steadily add push the plungers to fill tummy. NO one likes a tub in their throat, so they will want you to move fast, BUT you do not want to “power push” the liquid into their little belly’s. I always pinch the line before removing it.
I suggest marking your clean line with a sharpie, (measure the kitten from the edge of the mouth to a little below their rib cage, following the body around to make sure it’s long enough. Keep it marked and keep measuring before use. DO NOT put cold milk in the kittens tummy. Make sure it’s warm, but definitely not hot!
Keep the lines and syringes clean! Flush with hot water once you are done feeding. You can flush the lines with Dawn dish soap as well, but make sure you are getting all the soap out. If the water is too hot you will find the syringe will not slide as well.
