The setup was super easy, and it fits perfectly on the side of the cage. I love how it keeps the seeds contained—there’s much less mess than I anticipated. Of course it doesn’t stop all the seeds from falling but that is more on my feathered friend standing on top of it to eat.
What I appreciate most is how much my bird seems to enjoy it. The bowl is huge for him and Instead of scattering seeds all over the bottom of the cage, he has a dedicated spot to eat from, which I think makes him feel a bit more comfortable. Plus, I can easily refill it without making a mess.
The design is sturdy, and it seems like it will last a long time. Overall, I’m really pleased with this feeder. It’s made feeding time so much easier, and I think my bird is happier for it! Highly recommend it for anyone with a cage setting.

This is great quality, but large for parakeets (Two or three could stand on it and eat at the same time). The sizing shown in their picture is accurate. We ended up using this as a bird bath, instead of using it as a feeding tray. With that being said, this is very good quality.

Very well made and good quality. The only reason I’m giving it three stars is because it says for small birds and it shows a parakeet. In my opinion it’s too deep for a parakeet or smaller bird. My three parakeets basically have to do a headstand to get bird seed. If you filled the container all the way up it would be okay but it would probably hold a pound or more of food.

I agree it a good product. I couldn’t figure out what plastic prongs were either.
The length of the screws is too short for my cage. I believe there may be problem with similar bird feeders. I’m going to try finding longer screws at local hardware store because I do like this seed feeder; it’s perfect for my cockatiel and I hope she likes it. If it doesn’t work out, it will be returned.

This is one of the FEW feeders that can be installed INSIDE the cage. If your bird cage (house) has a large door, or one that does not fold flat, then those “attached on the outside the cage” feeders will not be safe. This feeder attaches on the inside and the baffle part works pretty well to keep down the amount of seed my crafty seed-flinging African Gray can toss out. It’s also a piece of cake to attach, and is sturdy.
