Use these for large bags of cat and dog food and they work perfectly for us. Given the weight and size of the large bags, I haven’t used the pour spout as I don’t want to lift and awkwardly pour (I would just make a mess!).
I love that they have a lip inside the lid that you can place on the inside of the bag to help hold the bag open inside the container if you choose to not just dump the bag in.
We buy 25lb bags of food. This size would not fit the really big Costco size bags of food.

I have a big dog and it’s cheaper and easier for me to buy a lot of food at a time, but I was keeping it in the bag and that got annoying. I bought both the 32-quart kind (to hold the whole bag at home) and the 8-quart version (for travel and stays with the petsitter).
These containers are perfect. Now, a lot of people are saying that they fit an entire 30-lb bag of food in the 32-quart version, and I’m not really sure how that’s possible. I feed my dog Taste of the Wild, which comes in the 30-lb bag from Amazon. When I ordered this, I had probably used about 1/4 of the bag. When I put the bag inside the container, I had to cut off a good portion of the top part of the bag and it just perfectly fit with the bag only 75% full. So I don’t think a full, brand-new bag of food would fit in here. Even the container itself says that it’s designed to hold up to 22 lb bags of dog food (or 25 lbs of cat food and 40 lbs of bird seed.) So I guess if your dog’s kibble is somewhere between the size of cat food and bird seed, then you could get 30 lbs in here.
I don’t use the spout much when feeding her – I open the entire spout part and scoop out some with a scoop. I do use the spout when pouring it from the 32-qt container to the 8-qt container for travel and it’s very convenient! The handle on the side is in the perfect place to make pouring easy. The big one would probably fit in my cabinets if I did a little finagling but I don’t want to, therefore, it sits out by the door where my dog’s bowl is. The small one fits perfectly in the original cabinet I kept the 30-lb bag of dog food.
Cant Help It –
This Dispenser is terrific! I do not get to use it entirely the way it was designed, but close enough.
I pour my kitty food from the big bag into containers and then scoop it out onto the plates. My food brand makes really badly designed bags. They have creases and seams and oddly attached wings at the top of the bag. They’re impossible to pour from unless I cut off the top completely, thereby defeating the zippy closure. The closure never worked well anyway but this guaranteed I’d need huge rubber bands to keep the bag closed. (The bags are very slippery tough plastic.I cant just roll the bag up and expect it to stay.) I thought this dispenser would solve my problem but alas of course not! The top of the bag will not accomodate the dispenser design. And the top of the bag after cutting off the impossible creases and seams no longer comes up high enough to engage with the dispenser’s clever top!
So.. i got a 30 gallon plastic bag and put it in the dispenser and poured the 15 pounds of food in. Then I attached the lid. Now I can pour really well into the big containers and when the food’s gone, I just toss the plastic bag and get a new one and fill it back up.
I used to have one of those wall dispensers but I didnt like the idea of the food being in contact with the holes for the screws that went into the wall. So I would “line” the inside with a tall kitchen can bag. I had to tape it all around the top to get it to stay and then I would cut the bottom of the bag at the bottom shute so the kibble could pass thru. But setting that bag up was such a tedious task, I used to leave the bag in there for several cycles before changing it. This never made me feel completely happy. The plastic would get disgusting! And then eventually I was no longer feeding 7 cats the same kibble, so the wall dispenser was not really helpful anymore.
My new system of using this Dispenser and a plastic bag is so easy and neat.. I’m very pleased.. Great design and good price.

Excellent product and highly recommended for pet owners who need a place to store their pet food.
I purchased this back in 2014 from Amazon and I am still loving it tremendously. Before, I used to just leave the dogs food out in the open where it was exposed to the elements. Dust, air, etc. Simply rolling up the bag is not exactly a solution.
PROS: Easy to clean. Simply remove the lid, wash the container, and wash the lid. Not too heavy where my little sister cant pick it up.
Even easier to use. Simply lift the handle and grab the bottom of the container where there is another handle so you can pour our the contents.To refill, remove old bag and place a new one.
CONS: Make sure that your lid is completely closed or spills may occur. While the lid is tight and secure, forgetfulness can lead to a very annoying clean-up. It has happened to me twice. Also the food inside the bag may come out of the bag after you use it and tilt it back in place. Those foods may get moldy, hard, and unedible after a few weeks. In order to prevent this, you have to secure the bag by closing the lid over it so the bag is secure and the food cannot come out.
This is NOT ANT PROOF. Even though it looks 100% air tight, ants CAN still come in. I know because I witnessed a trail of ants leading from outside my house to inside the container, ruining an entire bag of dog food. Place the container where ants cannot come in. Not recommended for outdoor storage use.

I always have trouble getting the last handful of kibble and powdered remains from the container. I don’t like to pour the fresh bag on top of the slate remains, so I am always struggling to turn the container upside down to clean it out. I love the design of this container and lid, which allows me to scoop easily, and then pour out the last bits. It is also nice and sturdy, and surprisingly air tight.
My only complaint is that it’s 22lb capacity falls just short of the standard 24lb dog food bags. So I wish it was just a little bit bigger. Other than that, I am very happy with this.

This makes a great bird seed container/dispenser. I was looking for something larger than the gallon size jug I’ve been using. This holds a 25 pound sack of sunflower seed, which makes it a bit heavy for some, but I usually fill about half full. The lid clamps on firmly, staying put, yet is easy to pop off for refilling. Nice large carry handle and is well balanced for pouring. Pours easily into my feeder without spillage (as shown in video). Very durable container, highly recommended.
