The product was easy to install and works well. The only issue is keeping the outside air from coming in. The kit comes with insulation straps, but we added more. The door itself is lined with soft brush for insulation, but it will not keep the outside air from coming in, especially on a windy day. I would imagine that all the cat and dog doors have the same issue.

Great little hack for my cats to have some independence. Well made, clean look. The only issue I had was when the air inside the house kicks on, sometimes the pre installed weights don’t hold the door closed. I added four little round weights to on either side and on the inside and outside of the door flap to keep it weighed down- seems to help. I highly recommend this product

This is a nice little window unit allowing my cats to go out into their catio. easy to set up and appears to be a great value. Magnet works well sealing the cat door upon opening and closing. The one thing that I did not like was that it appeared to be an open box item. No instructions and sealing weather strips were broken.

Works great, I followed another reviewers suggestion of raising it with some of the styrofoam so the lower knobs wouldn’t hit the window frame and I sealed it from the bottom with some additional rubber door trim I had around the house but sealed the tops and sides with the vinyl seals that came with it.
I recommend buying some window bolts so you can still secure your window from opening once it’s in there. It’s very sturdy once in and would require a significant amount of force to push it in once installed.
Our cat had no issues with the magnet strength and he figured out the door quickly enough.
There is a bit of a draft that comes through the door itself (all pet doors will) so we only plan on using it during the warmer months, that being said it is very easy to remove in order to shut the window if you need to. I had it probably installed and removed in 30 minutes to test it out. I very much recommend this.

Solid construction, metal where needed. Easy installation. Clear door flap and side windows look good not obtrusive also helped cats adjust to using. Anchors securely in window frame. Door flap lock works as stated. Mounts tightly but easy to remove in case one needs to change window or in rental situation. Good purchase!

Sharing a review even though we had to return the item. The window cat door is incredibly well made and the mechanism holding it in the window is super strong. Comes with all the parts needed to setup in the window and was very simple to install.
My note for returning it: The knobs will fit in the window well if you’ve got storm/hurricane windows, BUT if there’s any additional padding or insulation (which we had), it will sit up above the well and let in a draft. We would have removed the insulation, but it’s a rental.
