I’ve been trying to develop Springtail cultures for my terrarium, but it’s been harder than I thought. I put one of these bites in the culture and gave it a light spray of water, and two days later there was a layer of mold and my cultures were crawling with Springtails. Worked incredibly!

These are great little cuisines for my isopods and springtails. They seem to mold more quickly than the previous company I was using and thats great for the springtails. The isopods flock to them very quickly and they’re gone in a matter of a few hours, or atleast it seems that way. The packaging was nothing special but the bottle is definitely adequate. I think these are better than some of the alternatives out there but it’s hard to compare. I believe that the faster they mold, the better, more natural the ingredients are but I am not a scientist. I did perform a test between these and one of the very popular brands and they both tasted awful. It was alot harder to chew and swallow than I had expected and I definitely needed a drink to swallow them both. I regret taste tasting them but my biggest regret was chasing them with orange juice. I don’t alway make bad decisions but when I do I am quick to acknowledge my mistakes. After all, it’s how we learn and grow. One thing I do know is that purchasing these clean up crew bites was not a mistake and I do not regret switching from my long time supplier. I can 100% say that if you are currently using another company and need another alternative, these will work just fine, if not better and you won’t regret it. You might even find that these are marginally better than others. I appreciate having an alternative and will probably be purchasing these for the foreseeable future. I have not looked but I would be even happier if they had a larger container.

My springtails love this stuff, haven’t seen any of my powder mix isopods eating it though. My dwarf white isopods might be eating it but I don’t really see them much.

I was excited to find this for our isopods and millepedes. It has been hard to tell exactly who is eating these pellets since the isopods and millipedes are nocturnal, but I’ve seen lots of the springtails and a few of the isopods enjoying the pellets and they are disappearing quickly so it seems to be a hit. My photos are of the fresh pellets, after one day and after two days. This is a pretty small container, just 2.5 ounces, but it holds around 150 pellets so it should last for a while.

Giant African millipede loved it immediately

The millipedes started eating them right away.

Grows mold in my lizard enclosure but does well in my spider enclosure. The springtails eat the moldy discs but not very quickly
