Worked well for my brother’s full casket floral spray; when finished the arrangement was 4 feet long by 3 feet wide. We used two floral foam biodegradable blocks designed for thick stems and a 115 stem box of mixed white flowers with greenery from the bulk flower section of a major warehouse store. The first soaked floral foam block went into the saddle easily, but the second block couldn’t be wedged into place evenly, so it sat about a half inch higher than the first. Not a problem in the end, but the saddle could be a tad bit wider to accommodate two standard size blocks. Once the blocks were in place, we used waterproof floral foam tape wrapped around the saddle, as an added measure to make sure the blocks stayed in place. The saddle was sturdy and didn’t bend or buckle with the weight it carried, and it sat securely on the casket, not slipping, dripping or marring the casket top.

It will stay on the casket. It has like a non slip grip i believe. I’ve ordered this way too many times in the last 5 years. It’s lightweight and sturdy.
