I wasn’t sure if our GSD mix would be into this, but it turns out he absolutely loves it. It’s the only toy that keeps him engaged for more than 10 minutes. He pushes it with his nose and paws, and I love that it’s too big for him to chew. The cover is really well made and holds up to rough play.

I am so happy with this ball. Our dog Sky used to have so much anxiety when my daughter left, but this keeps him busy for hours. It’s durable and he realy loves playing with it. Best purchase ever. I Do recommend it. It is sturdy. It has its own pump for inflation, and the fabric covering it features a zipper, which prevents Sky from popping the ball.

We picked up this Herding Ball for Dogs for our Australian Shepherd because his energy level is basically endless, especially in our backyard.
The dual-layer design feels sturdy right out of the box. He likes to push it around more than chew it, which is great since regular balls don’t last long in our house. This one holds up well against his constant nudging, chasing, and herding instincts. He naturally started circling it, pushing it toward the fence like he was “working” instead of just playing.
We usually take it out in the afternoon or early evening when he starts getting restless. About 20–30 minutes of play with this ball, and he’s noticeably calmer inside afterward. It’s been a big help on days when walks aren’t enough or when the weather isn’t ideal.
The size is just right — big enough that he can’t carry it off and hide it under the couch, but light enough for him to move around without struggling. It also makes training easier since it keeps his focus and gives him something productive to do instead of trying to herd the kids or the vacuum.
The free training guide that comes with it is actually useful, especially if you’re new to herding breeds. It gives some simple ideas on how to introduce the ball and make play more structured instead of chaotic.

Absolutely the best toy for my 6 month old border collie! 5-10 mins of play and he’s wiped out . I’ll probably have to buy a backup, there is a zipper tab that he can get ahold of and if it’s cooler out the ball naturally looses some pressure which makes it easier for him to get ahold of it. But regardless it is a must have for him and his energy levels.

I wasn’t sure if my Collie would get the hang of this, but she took to it immediately. We took it to the local dog park on Sunday morning when it was empty. The setup was easy with the included foot pump, and the ball feels thick, not like a cheap beach ball. The orange color is bright and cute, so it’s easy to spot even in taller grass. It’s definitely built for rough play. The zipper on the cover stays hidden so the dog doesn’t mess with it. While it’s definitely a dog item, my friend’s adventurous cat actually tries to pounce on it when we leave it on the porch—it’s basically a mega cat toy for brave felines. The size is substantial, and the durability has held up for three weeks of daily abuse so far, perfect value for money. If you have a working breed that needs to push something around, this is a good buy.
