Please DO NOT put any painted items in your tank. It’ll kill your hermit crabs. Paint is toxic to crabs. I don’t understand why these big companies continue to profit off of hermit crab deaths. They have to know by now that this stuff is very bad for crabs but continue to sell it anyway to unsuspecting or uninformed pet owners. ALSO only buy the New Zealand Spaghnum moss and not the green crap this company sells. It is also very toxic to crabs (fake green moss). Please be a responsible crab owner and look up the proper care for these animals. Even the food they sell is chock full of heavy metals (copper, aluminum). I buy all my crab food on Etsy and not only is it all natural and complete but also inexpensive. Please do your research.
