I bought these nest box pads for our flock and they’ve been a game changer! They fit perfectly in our nesting boxes and provide such a comfortable, cushioned spot for the hens to lay. I noticed right away that the eggs are cleaner and less likely to crack — no more hard landings on bare wood or wire.
The pads are easy to clean and stay in place, even with busy chickens hopping in and out all day. They’ve held up well too; no bunching or wear even after weeks of use.

These are great and my hens use them well, but they do get shredded over time. I put a silicone mat underneath for extra cushion and support, and that’s made a big difference.
Easy to use and keeps the nesting boxes cleaner.

I do have a couple plastic boxes that the chickens can scratch it out of. I may try some double sided tape to secure it.

These nest box pads are just ok. They’re thicker than the product I typically use and unfortunately my chickens enjoyed ripping it apart. Pads did not last long. They are easy to install and the size worked for my nesting box size, but I won’t buy again.

My nesting boxes needed a little more padding for the hens to squat down. As soon as I started adding Nest Box Pads to a few boxes, the hens started clucking and jumping into the empty boxes. The filler is a good thickness so they can push in to nest. There isn’t a smell, it’s a great fiber that does not shred all apart even with the scratching to nest. I love this product, and it works well and lasts. No need to clean, the hens do it. It’s not a sticky application; it has a paper back that makes it easy to just set it in the box.

I recently purchased the Nest Box Pads for Chicken Nesting Boxes (13 x 13, 10 Pack) made from sustainably sourced aspen excelsior, and I’m very happy with them. The pads fit perfectly in my nesting boxes and were ready to use right out of the package—no trimming or adjusting needed.
The quality is excellent. They’re thick, well-woven, and hold their shape much better than loose bedding. My hens took to them immediately, and I’ve noticed the eggs stay much cleaner and better protected. The natural aspen material also seems to provide great airflow and keeps the nesting area comfortable for the chicken
