cage is loose and sloppy and needs a better latch and the perch was made to short so with a little movement. It would fall, not good with a 15,000-dollar parrot on it.i had to buy screw on perches and recommend you do the same. Other than all that its a good cage to take birds to the clinic but not for continuous use

The bird cage is nice, I went to the bird vet and they told me it’s the nicest one they have seen. Cage is sturdy, a little heavy to tote around but doable. The only negative thing is the perch doesn’t hold my birds I have an African Grey when he stood on it fell. The stick os too small the wedge part is too big for the cage. Or something like that

What I wish was different:
I wish it had a smaller door option. The only door is essentially one whole end of the cage. It would be nice if it had a door within that door.
The food bowls are on doors that swing out. There’s a little tab that hangs down to keep that door from opening, and it swings freely. Since the cage is meant to be mobile/carried, that just makes me worry the door might swing open while the cage is being moved.
I don’t like that there’s no additional support under the tray at the bottom. When you sit the cage on something softer like a car seat, it pushes the bottom tray up. It’s a minor annoyance.
However, the cage seems pretty heavy duty. I initially bought this because I was supposed to be rescuing 3 cockatiels which would need to be transported from Davenport, IA to Denver, CO. I wanted a cage that would be secure, easy to move, and would not be the type where the bottom separates from the top because I didn’t want the transporter (or me) to be worried about the cage falling apart. This cage definitely fit the bill.
I was also looking for a cage that would be sufficient for keeping the birds in for a few days and this would work for that.
I removed the dowel perch and added a rope perch because I wanted there to be plenty of perch space for 3 birds and it seemed like the rope perch would be more comfortable on their feet for such a distance, and easier to hang on to.
Now that I’ve seen the cage in person and used it, I think this will be an excellent cage for taking the birds to the vet or even for using if one of them gets sick and needs to be separated.

This was perfect for a carrier for moving my African Gray bird 8 hours away .Room capacity excellent, sturdiness very good ,fit ,size all went well ! I can make use of it when it is summer and put her in this carrier cage while outside during nice spring and summer days ,highly recommend!

Definitely buy your own perches if you have a parrot and not a little bird. This is an emergency house for my Amazon parrot if we have to evacuate and the perches that come with it are WAY too small. Very well made and I recommend it otherwise!!

Easy to assemble however I have several concerns with this cage. I purchased it as a travel cage for our African Grey as we are moving and I wanted him to be comfortable for the day in a decent portable cage. Here are the safety/security issues I’ve found:
The perch is too short and too thin. The perch does not fit into the bars securely, it falls down the moment the cage is moved. In addition to it being too short, the perch itself is too thin for an African Grey to hold onto. You’ll have to use a different perch. The food bowls are not secure at all. My bird will be able to lift the bowls out of their holders and dump them immediately. The bottom tray is wobbly and moves around a lot. If my grey decides to get down from his perch and walk on the bottom grate, it’s going to slip and slide all around as that too is not securely held in place. For a $90 cage I expected this to be top notch and it just isn’t. Bottom line is that I do not trust that my bird won’t escape this cage if my back is turned.

No hassle assembly

PROS:
– Good size, easily portable
– All connections including the carrying handle seem secure
CONS:
– As many others have said, the included wooden ‘perch’ is more or less useless. It doesn’t fit at all.
-The way that the full-wall door and the two swing-out bowls are attached, it makes even configuring adjustable rope perches a challenge.
– CAUTION IF YOU HAVE A “HOUDINI BIRD” this will not contain them for long! The swing-out dish doors are very simple for even a moderately clever little conure to open, and the full-wall door would be pretty easy for most small parrots to figure out given a little time. Invest in a couple of bungee cords and prepare for feeding time to be a bit fiddly while you un-bird-proof and then re-bird-proof all doors and latches!
