The heart is a definite great addition to my yard…and the birds give the Peruvian alpaca wool a wing up for sure. Have only had it up a few hours, so can’t speak to the durability, but I will say the clasps seem a little flimsy, but time will tell.

I love the birds around my property here in New Mexico!
And I noticed last year a lot of them were making their nests in the tall Cholla cactus, which is really a good Idea because my cats can’t get to them there!
There’s a lot of tumble weeds, and other thorn covered plants around here so I thought I would put out something softer for them to choose from.
I have ordered other heart shaped, Alpaca hair filled hangers before, but when I open this Tiezzi Handmade Apaca hair filled heart, I have to tell you, I was really impressed!!
The quality between this hanging heart and the others I had ordered doesn’t even closely compare!!
This Tiezzi heart had quality written all over it! The heart cage wire was so much thicker, and stronger. The heart cage is also beautifully crafted, and actually rounded out, which provided a lot of space inside to hold the nesting material. Where the other brands were totally flat, thin wired hearts that looked like they would only last the season, and squished the hair together.
The Tiezzi handmade heart looks like it will last many seasons being it is so well made!
You know, you have something and you really don’t realize that there is something better until you actually have a good quality one in your hands, and are shocked at how much better it is!
And this heart with its different colored Alpaca hair looks really nice hanging in the tree too!
I am definitely going to order more from this company!
And I suggest you do too! Your birds will defiantly thank you for it!!

This is one of the better ones I have seen….. Shaped right and looks good!
Many of the “handmade” hearts or circles made with chicken wire and hand shaped, have been done very sloppy. The idea is simple and very heartwarming but the execution is not as easy as it looks. The price on these items have been increasing as well. But, the problem is, with everyone using the same photos in their advertisements, how are you supposed to know which ones look good and which ones are sloppy.? You can’t go by price and you can’t go by photos.
Fortunately, this particular one is shaped very well and has latches that hook both sides together rather easily. This heart is made by hand but, they did a pretty great job making it even and balanced, and puffed out like the heart should be. Included is just enough fibers to fill the heart up one time. You can make the fibers stretch by removing them from the bag and fluffing them up and putting it inside the heart, which may make it easier for the birds to remove the fibers from the heart. When the fibers are compact and a tight fit, they can be difficult to pull out and remove.
Overall, this is made very well with decent materials and a very careful hand. There is a small chain to hang this from a tree with a hanger type hook attached. The reason for the missing star is because the latches are located on the bottom of the heart and they don’t easily stay closed. You may need to get some wire and or twist ties from bread or plastic zip ties to help attach the two side together where they will stay in place and not pop open first chance they get. Once this is shut, you probably won’t need to open the heart again until the season is over unless you had a lot of birds removing fibers….what I do love is that I can use pet hair to replace the fibers as needed or if you have poultry feathers that are clean or other natural fibers…Whatever you decide, they must be clean and natural or a bird won’t use them. Make sure they don’t have chemicals or things that could affect the health of the birds you are caring and providing for.

I absolutely love supporting the birds in my yard, especially the regular doves that visit me daily. When I saw this adorable heart-shaped holder filled with alpaca fur, I knew it would be perfect for them to use as nesting material. We are currently experiencing severe wind in my area, so I have to wait a little bit to hang it outside. However, I simply cannot wait to put it up and help my bird neighbors build their nests!
