Heavy enough that goats don’t move them around and they won’t blow away, but light enough to move easily if you need to. Hard to separate when initially unboxing, but not a big deal. Very thick and great quality.

I’ve ordered two sets of these bowls now, and am a huge fan! I have chickens, so pans and bowls are a must for feeding and watering. In the Winter, these were a life saver. When the water froze over, it was really easy to empty these bowls are re-fill them. Frozen water in plastic chicken waterers is a big problem and can crack and damage them. Rubber bowls are still pliable in the extreme cold. Pushing the sides in releases the ice from the inside, so you can easily dump it out. Because they’re black rubber, these bowls absorb the heat from what little winter sun we get, so kept the water a little warmer due to that.
These bowls are also great for feeding animals. They would work for a medium sized dog, if you’re not feeding livestock. A pack of four is a good value for the price, and they will last a very long time due to their durability. I ordered a second set to give to a friend who also has chickens. She loves her rubber bowls too!

We bought a few of these GINDOOR 1-gallon rubber feed pans for our donkeys, and they’ve worked out great. The donkeys eat out of them without a second thought — no tipping, no cracking, and they’ve held up well to daily use. Nice weight, solid construction, and they’re easy to rinse clean.
That said, our Great Pyrenees won’t go near them. He sniffs, gives me a look like I’ve deeply insulted him, and walks away every time. No clue why — maybe he knows something the donkeys don’t? Or maybe he’s just being his usual dramatic self.
Bottom line: great product, especially for livestock. Just don’t expect your picky farm dog to be impressed.

That the rubber feed pan 1 gallon can be used for a lot of different things. Not just for feeding farm animals. I used them for my 24″ tall plant pots for my rubber tree n Dracaena plant. Also their good to use with plant pots that have drain holes w some river rocks under the pot so the water can drain into it. My sago palm n purple heart pots have drain holes n I use the rubber feeding pans for drainage. I’m going to order more of them next year for when I do some repotting on 4 of my plants. I recommend them, price is good, they’ll never rust of loose their shape.

I’ve been using this pan with a birdbath heater to ensure the wild critters in the yard have water this very cold winter. I have to refill the pans every other day or so. The only negative is the pans came with a very strong smokey odor like they had survived a fire. Not a big deal as they’re being used outdoors.
