Very poor quality. Stitching was loose on the ball cover and the ball and cover only lasted one day with normal play. Very disappointed.

Not strong enough for livestock (horses). Both leak air within 24 hours of being given to my 2 year old colt. I reinflated one thinking maybe it was a plug issue. Still wouldn’t hold air. Wasted a lot of money on this.

Poor quality. Did inflate but was already going flat less than 24 hours later with very light use.

I wish these were more durable. Great concept but they deflate so quickly! Too easily punctured for the price.

These balls aren’t the best quality and are not built for longevity. That said, they will last for a little while, just make sure you have no goat-heads or sand-burrs (or other thorny/sharp vegetation) that can burst the thin ball.
The ad says it inflates to 40″, but that is virtually impossible as the blue cover isn’t allowing for such a size. The ball with red patches in the pictures is fully inflated (even more than I am comfortable with as I think it is about to burst and it is already deformed into more of an oval) and it is only 34″. The yellow one is partially inflated and about 25″ in height. Realistically, I think they could be safely inflated to 30″ or so and retain their shape. The ball material is relatively thin so it can potentially be punctured easily. The cover is also extremely thin and is more like a little spandex material, so I think it can also rip relatively easy. The leading brand for these balls has a really thick cover that can withstand horse teeth. This won’t be able to withstand that. That said, it is a ball and it will last for a little while for horse play, but I don’t see it lasting a long time.

My horses love these

These horse play balls are really huge! And I think of them as multi-purpose, because I use them not only as toys, but also as training tools.
Following instructions, we inflated the one in the pic inside its well-made stretchy spandex-like cover, but, since we have an air compressor we used that, rather than the provided foot pump. So it was easy to put together, and fully inflated very quickly that way, but I can’t say how long it would take using the foot pump.
We pushed this ball to the limit, inflating it to the point that the cover would just barely zip closed, partly to test the strength of both the ball and the cover, and also to make it more difficult for the horses to actually get hold of the cover with their teeth. In our past experience, even the best-made horse toys don’t hold up too very long once horses can get a solid grip on them with their teeth.
I didn’t try to measure the size of this ball once inflated, but I can say that it is so big that I can’t get my arms around it far enough to pick it up – and I’m not short!
This toy held up very well for the first few days, with some of the herd nosing it and pushing it around a bit, but they haven’t given it any really strenuous workouts yet. So I was a bit surprised when after about a week I found it had deflated by maybe 15-20% overnight. The night had been quite chilly, down to 18F, so I’m guessing that was very like the cause, because prior to that the ball had remained quite taut within the cover. And it hadn’t been in with the horses that night, so there had been no opportunity for them to damage it. The ball did not spontaneously re-inflate just sitting out in the sun, but the temperature was only up to the mid-50’s, so that’s not particularly surprising.
I ended up bringing the ball back up to the house yesterday to re-inflate it. I’m hoping to find the time to do that today, and will take before and after pics, and also see how well it holds up after that. I will return to this review and post an update accordingly.
If that’s all that’s went wrong, then these balls with covers would be quite a good buy at this price, and I would absolutely buy them in future.

Works perfect, was able to fill in 25 mins with the hand pump!
