I got the large size for shadow and while the fit is okay I think I prefer the medium from before because these feel a little loose on her. she is a green cheek conure and i mainly use these as a harness rather than a diaper since she is actually potty trained and really good about it. We live in Honolulu and even though she’s flighted I don’t like taking chances with the traffic or loud noise of the Skyline rail here in Honolulu if she gets jumpy. These are great because they have a specific attachment point for her small elastic leash so i can keep her safe while we’re out.
We went for a 35 minute walk the other day which is a long time to have a bird out and she did great. she does chew at the shoulder strap a bit if i don’t get the tightness just right but otherwise she’s fine with it and the strap holds up. The inside has a vinyl lining which makes it really easy to rinse out if she does happen to go potty while we’re walking. It keeps the mess in a little pocket so her feathers stay clean which is the most important part for me. the kiwi and pineapple patterns are super cute too and they seem to hold up well to rinsing.
