4PCS Dragonfly Clip, 3D Fake Dragonfly Clips to Keep Bugs Away, Artificial Dragonfly. I got these fake dragonflies to use on my driftwood art. These things are huge, about 4 inches long each. The dragonflies are very realistic-looking with bright colors and mesh wings. They come with a convenient clip to easily affix them to many different surfaces. They are fairly delicate, so I am not sure how well they will do outside in the elements, though. You get 4 pieces total for $17.99, which works out to around $4.50 each. These are an excellent value for your money.

Very large plastic dragon flies. The wings are irridecent and gives it a very life-like quality. This came in a 4 piece pack so * can hang 2n9n each hummingbird feeder in order to keep the bees and hornets off. I am so excited!
I like that these came with string and clips so you can choose how you want to hang them.

These dragonflies are not only adorable, they’re fairly realistic looking too. They’re quite large and made of plastic, but I think, their features are emphasized for recognition purposes. This year, I’m trying every means to ward off mosquitoes from buzzing around my deck and patio and in my research, I found out, that not only do dragonflies eat mosquitoes, but mosquitoes can see and recognize dragonflies so, by hanging these around my deck, I’m hoping they’ll go somewhere else and I won’t get bitten quite as often. We shall see.

I have to say I am obsessed with these dragon fly clips. I’ve watched carpenter bees turn away from them so, totally affective. I put all 4 on my sitting porch. They look authentic and have startled me when I side glanced them.

I bought these mostly because they were cute and I figured worst case, I’d just have some decorative dragonflies on the patio.
But now? There are noticeably fewer flies.
I don’t know who started the rumor in the insect community, but apparently word got out that this is no longer a safe place to hang out. The flies used to treat my patio like an all-inclusive resort. Now it’s more of a quick stop and immediate departure situation.
I’m not saying these are running security out there… but I’m also not not saying that.
They’re lightweight, easy to place, and actually look nice instead of cheap or gimmicky. Bonus points for doing something without me having to spray, hang sticky traps, or get personally involved in fly management.
At this point, I’m considering getting more just to really send a message.

I got these dragonfly clips to help deter flies around my patio area. They’re bigger than I expected, which I’m hoping makes them more effective. I ended up hanging them from the patio railings since I couldn’t find a great way to use the clips in my setup.
As for the look, they’re not quite like the colorful dragonflies I usually see, so I’m not sure how well they work as a decorative or wearable piece—but that’s just personal preference. I may even try attaching one to a hat when we’re out hiking to see if it helps with mosquitoes.
They feel durable and well-made, so I expect they’ll hold up over time. I do live in an area with strong sun, so it’ll be interesting to see how they hold up with long-term exposure.
