You’re getting what you pay for here. I have bought two, and they both broke within a few days of having them on a horses tail.

Nice quality bag, but I will not be using it. I have a young horse. Her previous people used a flag on a stick for training. Nothing wrong with that, however I could see my youngster jumping a fence line thinking a human was urging her faster and faster. I will look for a quieter bag, in the meantime, back to self adhering wrap.

I bought one as I was skeptical over the price. I’ve had it on a mare that tears EVERYTHING up and it has not come off one and does not have any rips or tears in it. I have noticed that it’s starting to bleach out, which is to be expected from Texas summer heat. Overall, I’m very pleased with how this tail bag has held up. Her tail has grown a few inches in it with me taking it out once a week and putting cowboy magic in it, brushing and re braiding.

my horse lost it and broke it within 3 hours. the velcro and string just isn’t strong enough

I love using this tail bag in conjunction with a lycra tail bag inside. My horse lives in South Florida and uses the tassels from the tail bag to periodically swat away flies. Practical and durable. easy to clean.Just one elastic velcro strap secures tail bag when the tail is braided.

I have been using this tailbag for over a month now and have no issues with the velcro or anything else breaking like others had stated. I have found, though, that wrapping up my boys tail with a sock first and then putting the tail bag over top of that is the best way to use it. Otherwise his tail becomes a knotted mess from him swishing it so much.
