The media could not be loaded.
This cat door came well-packaged and protected with tape and corner protectors.
Instructions were simple and reasonably clear. It came with ample foam weather stripping for the bottom of the window and a different type for between the window panels. I was a little unclear about where to put the latter wearher stripping but I’ll figure that out later.
The unit itself was extremely easy to install, and I liked that this model had two sets of knobs on either side to keep the “wings” flush against the window frame, instead of just one set per side. I am not sure that makes a big difference but I like it. The unit seems reasonably air tight and I used the extra weather stripping to seal up some spots.
I’ve introduced this to my cats who have used it a little bit so far with my encouragement, but given that this unit has been up for just a few hours, I’ll have to see if they continue to use it on their own. I understand I will probably have to teach them for a while longer.
Video shows the magnet strength is pretty good. Not too strong and not too light. The door did lightly “clip” my smaller cat’s tail as it closed behind her, but the door is light so I don’t believe it would hurt her. I hope she will learn to use it over time.

Installation was quick and tool-free. It fits securely with no drafts or gaps. The construction feels solid and well made. The clear design looks neat and unobtrusive. Highly recommend for anyone with sash windows looking for an easy, reliable pet door option.

This window mounted cat flap is great. It’s very good quality and was easy to install. It has little locking buttons on the flap that control whether your cat can go in and out, or just in, or just out. It also comes with insulating tape to fill in gaps. I ended up using some pieces of the white foam packing material at the top of my window to close that gap because the rubber sealing strip that came with the cat flap wasn’t quite wide enough. But it is working well and looks good.

We have a cat problem. Not “a” cat problem six cats, plus a rotating cast of community cats because we do TNR and apparently run an unofficial feline Airbnb.
One of our former TNR cats, kicked out of the adoption program, Sassy (also known as “The Sasshole”), failed her transition to indoor life spectacularly. We tried. She declined. Now she treats our window screens like a trampoline at 2–4 a.m., demanding entry back into the house like an angry nightclub patron. Even better, she’s trained the local feral cats to join in when the food bowl runs low. I have created my own personal chaos.
So, we did what any sleep-deprived, cat-overrun household would do we bought a pet door. The goal: let Sassy come and go while keeping our indoor cats safely inside.
At first? Genius. Life-changing. Peaceful, even.
Enter Dill.
Dill is one of our indoor cats and, apparently, an engineer. He spent a few days observing Sassy like he was conducting a full scientific study. Timing, mechanics, structural integrity he analyzed it all. Then, one night, he executed his plan.
Turns out, when the door is “locked,” Dill can just… lift it with his paw.
I woke up to all of my indoor cats outside, living their best lives except the orange chaos goblin, who remains blissfully unaware of both the door and most other concepts.
To be clear: this is not the product’s fault. The door is sturdy, well-built, and works exactly as intended unless you have a furry engineer who doesn’t let the lack of Opposable thumbs (or a monkey). Then all bets are off.
Final verdict: Amazing product. Highly recommend. Recommending it to all my clients (I own a pet based business) Just maybe don’t underestimate your cats… because they are absolutely plotting.

Got this for our business’s warehouse cat. Now he can come and go between the warehouse and office as he wants / needs. I like the option to be able to lock the door in one direction or both directions. It’s a little wonky getting it to lock though. Hopefully that piece of it lasts for the long haul.
