I bought this to use on my garage door for my kitty and it works perfectly, size is good for a bigger cat as well. I’ve been using it for about 6-7 months now and it’s such an ease so I don’t have to worry about letting my cat out since we have the litter box in the garage and she loves to go out to explore as well. This is listed as extra-large and it really is. I have a 22 pound Maine Coon cat–so he is quite large and he fits through this cat door. It seems durable — we’ve had no issues with it. I like that my cat has easy access to his litter box without us having to leave a door open for him. I feel it’s a good value for the money. And he looks cute peeking out of it.

Works great and looks nice. Our big cats can get through it fairly easily (have to arch their back a little). Our cats are part Maine coon so they are large and this worked great, and kept them from rubbing against the door if we left it cracked open. Template makes it very easy to cut out the opening, and install was straight forward and simple.

Easy to fit, took approximately 20 minutes, that included cutting the product to fit the depth of the door, removing and re fitting the door and also cutting the door.
My cat is an 8kg Maine Coon and fits easily through this (XL) & allows me to keep my doors shut whilst giving him access to the rooms still.
I fully recommend this product.

Fellow cat owners: I wouldn’t get anything smaller than the XL. Trust me. I thought it would be a bit bigger- it still works perfectly but I wouldn’t want anything smaller. One of our cats has to slightly duck when he goes through and he’s just a little taller than the others.
GREAT product, it’s totally transformed our house. Having this now lets us close the door to the litter box area and you can’t smell a thing in the rest of the house anymore. Awesome!
My husband said that it needs a bit of improvising during installation which most of the other reviews here said as well. You will find what works for you best. It’s otherwise easy to install.

A great product for keeping my cat food safe from my dog. Cats love it. It’s worked very well for us. My husband installed it using a jigsaw. He said it was easy. I would not have had the first clue how to do that so you do need a handyman to install and it doesn’t take long.

Got this unit to save on heat costs. Love the template that comes along. Makes install a breeze. However, in a 6 panel door, the top two screws couldnt be in a worse position. I got 3 to sink but one just wont bite the corner of the panel. Stays secure, serves its purpose and looks fine.

This is an adorable cat pass through. There is no door to it, so it is an opening at the bottom of the door. We have our litter box in one of the bathrooms. One of our issues is guests that use the bathroom tend to close the door after, which cuts off the kitty access. I continually remind guests that the door has to be left open after use. During a trip, when our grandgirl was coming to check on kitty, the door was inadvertantly closed when she left. Typically he is OK for a long time but it was over 12 hours from her check until we got home. He had an accident–he was extremely displeased about that. So, I purchased this adorable pass through. It was easy to cut the door and add it. Took less than 20 minutes. Kitty took to it immediately with Dad on one side and Mom on the other. He is a larger cat and he had to duck just a tad bit…but he went through it smoothly. His access will never be cut off again. If my guests don’t like the hole in the door (that someone would have to lay on the floor in a tiny space to see in), they can certainly use one of the other two bathrooms. We accommodate the Kitty! This is his house.
