I needed something big enough to transport my 2 tiels and also as a sunny day cage. This cage is very well made, easy to fold down when done. I use mine almost every day to let the birds have some sunshine. It’s easy to clean and is sturdy. I like the big door and it has a good locking system, they can’t get out. Too big bar spacing for budgies, but ok for tiels or bigger birds.

I purchased this as a outside cage for my Indian Ring Neck and it is really too small it is for a love bird or smaller. I put him in it several times and it broke his tail both times but I let the time go buy and now I think it may be to late to return it.

Bought this cage in 2013 for vet trips and outside time for my African Grey. It has a nice large door. My grey hops in willingly. The door isn’t secure but very simple fix shown in photo. It’s very easy to clean. Don’t understand the complaints about the bowls. I take then in and out to clean with no problem. They just need to be removed from the inside. Overall I’m happy and have been using for over 10 years now.

So on the surface, it’s just a small portable, foldable dog kennel with some bowls and a dowel rod for a perch. You might be able to get the same thing at your local pet store. It is simple, sturdy, and well built, equally suited for a Pom or a small bird.
When you dig into it, you find the construction is quite strong, especially the gate. It’s strong enough to prevent my Norwegian Blue from muscling open the bars and vroom, gone!

Had purchased this carrying cage for my Cockatiel when I take her to the bird store for anytime that she needs grooming. Very nice cage that is easily stored when not in used. Well constructed and large enough for my Cockatiel. Great cage for short trips, never had the need for longer trips transporting “Freddie”, but I feel that it would be sufficient for longer trips.

I ordered this carrier a week before a vacation for which I could not find sufficient sitting for my parrot. The carrier arrived very quickly, in about 4 days on regular shipping, but was poorly packaged with the dishes stuck in the tray. After contacting the Bird Depot, they admitted their fault so I am writing this review on the quality of the product.
It is a very well put together cage, that even being poorly packaged snapped back into shape easily, it is collapsible into a very compact form factor and is a great bargain at its price. It is well sized, the large door is great for mid-sized parrots, the dishes latch in to make sure a bird can’t toss them, the tray is easily removable to put paper on and replace with no hassle. It is perfect for not just travel with a parrot or other bird, it is also a great mobile home for them to stay in for its size, it acts as a transportable abode. Excellent quality product with great service, so 5/5, it was more than expected.
