They are larger than I expected, which was a welcomed surprise. A lot less messy than loose minerals. And, my goat seems to be enjoying it!

These are very nice, solid salt blocks and the quality was immediately noticeable when I opened the package. I ordered these specifically for my horses’ stalls, and they have worked out perfectly for that purpose. Having salt available at all times is important for horses, so I am always looking for blocks that hold up well and are easy to install.
One feature I really like is the attached rope. It makes hanging the salt blocks from the stall fence simple and convenient, without needing any extra hardware. The rope feels sturdy and secure, although I do wish it had been just a little bit longer to allow for more flexibility in where to hang it. That said, it still works fine as is and holds the block in place without any problems.
The blocks themselves arrived in excellent condition. They were packaged well and protected during shipping, so there were no chips, cracks, or broken corners when I unpacked them. Each block feels dense and solid, which gives me confidence that they will last a good amount of time before needing to be replaced.
In terms of longevity, I expect these to last at least a month, possibly longer depending on how much the horses use them. For the price, they seem very affordable, especially considering the solid construction and the added convenience of the rope for hanging.
Overall, I am very happy with these salt blocks. They are well made, arrived in great condition, and are easy to use in the stall setup. I would definitely recommend these to other horse owners looking for a dependable and convenient salt block option.

These are pretty decent quality Himalayan salt; however, it’s not really the best value for the money. You get a lot more salt lick with larger blocks that last the horses longer for the same or less money. If you are looking for pure volume for a large herd, there are more economical ways to go.
However, if the added benefit of the smaller size plus the rope to hang it benefits you for stalls or perhaps smaller animals like goats, this is a winner. It hangs effortlessly from just about anything and the animals will lick at it without hesitation. It stays off the ground and away from the mud, which is a huge plus in a busy barn.

Well, our horses responses to this small salt lick might have been moderated by the fact that they all have year round access to large free choice 50 pound salt licks. We supply them with both regular white salt blocks as well as trace mineral blocks, so perhaps they would be more interested in this lick otherwise.
As it was, only one of them actually seemed interested enough in this little Himalayan lick to taste it repeatedly.
These might work great for a horse who doesn’t have another source for salt. But frankly, these small toy-like salt licks are very pricey when compared to the large ones.
They could potentially be hung up like an anti-boredom type of toy for a horse, – but I have to say that I was pretty disappointed by the very short length of rough rope that was supplied along with these licks. It was also coarse and stiff, making it hard to tie up anywhere. I finally ended up using baling twine to hang one.
So overall, these small licks might work great for someone else, but we won’t be buying them in the future.
