this is the ideal size for smallish dogs. i have cairn terriers. i’d previously purchased a larger holder, which i noticed is a bit more cumbersome for them; not that it doesn’t work, b/c it does, but they pretty much stay in one spot w/it. whereas this holder is light enough (but still sturdy) for them to carry their bully stick around. i highly recommend! may end up purchasing a few more… offering some different colors would be fabulous!

I have been worried about my puppy swallowing the last bit of a chew stick whole and choking. This is an amazing gadget that holds the chew firmly in place with the added benefit that my pup can hold thinner chews upright by placing a paw on each side of the holder. It won’t hold her wide yak chews but is great for chew sticks and the holder can accommodate quite thick chews. Very easy to wash. I always supervise when she has chews but big pieces can be swallowed very quickly so I feel I am definitely keeping her as safe as I can.

I have a small dog and these work great to keep his bully sticks from getting to small and him swallowing them.
His little paws grip the bone holder. It’s light enough that he can carry it around from room to room. I’ve ordered a few already for the family dogs.

Works perfectly! I’ve tried many different solutions to prevent my dogs from swallowing the last big piece of a treat and then vomiting it back up. This works so well – you can put any sized treat in it and it will hold firm without breaking. At last!!!

This works great for the Bully Sticks. We were worried our small dog would chew them down to the point where she might try and swallow the nub. This makes it impossible. A nice safety feature.

I bought three different types due to them not holding the sticks and the sticks falling out. This one held the sticks well (I bought two). My only complaint is that it is rather heavy for my smaller chihuahua. He eventually got the hang of it and used it (I believe some of it was manipulation on his part and him wanting me to hold it for him 🤣).

This is a must to have if your dog eats bully sticks. Lightweight for my 12 lb senior dog. Holds it secure. Would not recommend for puppy’s in the chewing stage: my 8 m.o grand puppy scratched her teeth marks on the plastic.

Takes away all the worry of your dog (puppy in my case), swallowing the end of a pizzle stick and choking. Just before I received this she swallowed a 1.5 inch bit of pizzle stick (I couldn’t get it off her) and I had the worry about whether it would come out the other end or cause an obstruction. Fortunately all was well. Holds the pizzle stick really firmly and you can then take it away when it gets down to the last bit. Held in the same way as a vice. A fabulous product. Given me piece of mind. Pizzle sticks are great for keeping a puppy/dog occupied for a while.

We are using this with our mini poodle puppy as a bully stick holder (and other treats). It works great! He is not able to pull the bully stick out of the holder and now the fear I have of him choking on the small end of the bully stick or other treats is gone. It does make it easier for him to hold the bully stick, so that does mean he finishes it faster than before.. but that’s ok, safety is more important. I am very happy with this product and o think he is too.

EDITED … this has lasted almost a year so far … my dog has chewed on the ends, and I have had to tighten the screw after my dog has been using this for a while.

Amazing!! A corkscrew nut holds the chew securely in place. My 18 month old papillon has swallowed the end of a bully stick before (about an inch in size)…luckily she vomited it back up during the night. Now no more worrying about choking/obstructions & no more throwing half eaten sticks in the bin.
Now, she can chew by herself (without my fingers getting cramps from holding it for her at awkward angles). The Princess is happy 🐶
