TL;DR – Bird got badly tangled, dangerous item– find another for your bird, please
I don’t usually write bad reviews, but I just had such a bad experience with my bird that I feel like I have to.
This hut has been hanging in my sun conure’s cage for about a month now. She never seemed interested in it. I never saw her in it, until today. I left for class and came back two hours later and my bird was in this thing– but IN in it.. she was under the first layer of the floor, stuck, and frantically trying to get out. She had ripped what was around her to shreds and gotten herself extremely tangled up. I rushed to get scissors and a washcloth to put over her head while i cut her out of the thing first, then cut all the strings wrapped around her. It took a long time and she kept flailing, making it worse and tighter. I managed to free her after about 10 minutes of what I thought were her last moments. There were times she would stop moving, and I would say her name over and over, thinking I was losing her.
This experience was terrifying. I’m worried if I hadn’t come home sooner, I could’ve lost her from asphyxiation due to this hut.
I’ve read about ‘snuggle huts’ being dangerous if they’re a certain type of fabric, and I see which kind now.
Please abstain from buying this particular bed and pick another.

had been bought for a pigeon that had come to us she had started to feel comfy and nestle the size is very good and comfy for bigger birds than the usual seen around. now it is stored away, as poor thing was snatched by a hawk. but this is very pretty and spacious.

It’s beautiful and well made. My African Grey, took about 7 days to warm up to it. Now he, slips in to rest even. It’s warm and cozy and Pepper absolutely loves it. He sleeps in it and hides his treats inside. I’m so glad I took a chance. These birds either like or dislike things. He has spoken literally “Bed”. Yes he calls says Going to Bed!!!). Away he goes💕

I’ve had a cockatoo for 40 years never thought he would even like this. It has been great. It is sturdy, and hooks are strong. It is made well. My only thing about it is I wish they had more places to hook the carboneers. I need it to be lower in the large cage so I hooked it to the side and it is tilted slightly. My bird loves it !

This bird nest house was a great purchase. The appearance is really cute, and it was super easy to hang up (ease of installation). The inside is soft and fluffy, giving my sun conure a lot of comfort, and he curls up in it every night. His sleep quality has been amazing — he looks so relaxed and happy inside.
It’s also easy to clean; I just shake it out and wipe it down when needed (ease of cleaning). For the price, it’s definitely good value for money because my bird actually uses it every day.
Highly recommend if you want to give your feathered friend a cozy little hideaway.
