I’ve been a shrimp lover for years and have tried numerous products to establish healthy tanks, but this cycling powder is honestly incredible! What sets it apart is the insane amount of biofilm it produces… easily 2-3x more than any other product I’ve used.
This is a must to breed Caridina or Neocaridina Shrimp, it’s my go to for crucial biofilm needed to boost my shrimp breeding! Just 3 days of using this powder and you can see biofilm developing on my substrate in the pic I’ve posted. Cycling process was remarkably quick and easy. Water readings were perfect for weeks until the green walls set in!
I honestly recommend to look no further, I’ve had 100% success rate for generating essential biofilms necessary for shrimps. Absolutely WORTH it!

Within a week 75% of our shrimp tank died after using this product. Do your research before adding anything to a tank

Came in on time but the container was already opened and used before shipping, it didn’t have a measuring spoon and after 4 different tank set ups no noticeable difference in cycling and seasoning time. Might just have gotten a bad batch but cant justify trying again when Bacter AE worked better, is cheaper and comes in sealed with a spoon.

The amount of biofilm this produces in a new tank is actually insane. Within days, every surface is covered. Most recently, I used it in a 2.5 gallon tank with shrimp soil, dragon stone hardscape, and a decent amount of plants. It’s all foggy and obscured after 4 days. I scraped the front glass & sheets of film came off and dissipated into the tank.
I was very skeptical that it would be worth the price premium over other starter powders, but if you want to start off on the best foot with raising or breeding shrimp, it’s great. And honestly, this could cost less than a single shrimp if you’re buying fancy Caridina (or OE neos), so it could very likely save money in the long run if it just prevents the loss of one shrimp.
