This little bird diaper and harness set is surprisingly well-made. The material feels soft on the outside with a waterproof inner layer that actually does its job, which is important if your bird likes to be out and about. The stitching looks clean, and the colors are bright and cute. Both pieces fit my small birds comfortably without irritating them.
The included leash is a nice touch and gives plenty of length for safe supervised flying or walking around the house. It’s lightweight, so it doesn’t bother the bird or pull on them. Putting the suit on takes a little patience the first couple of times, but once you get the hang of it, the process is easy and quick.
Overall, this is a fun and useful kit if you like to keep your bird close without worrying about little messes. It feels comfortable, looks good, and gives peace of mind during indoor time. Great value for a two-pack, and an easy five out of five.

Sizing wasn’t quite right for our parakeet, but it’s an interesting idea, and worth a try, I think.
I think the design could be more adjustable perhaps? But I like the overall look of it and it seems good enough quality for what it is, and appreciate that the leash is elastic, which seems safer and more comfortable if the bird reached the end of the leash. I did wash it in the washing machine, but inside a mesh laundry bag, and then air dried it, and it seemed pretty much fine, so if you can accept the possible impact on longevity, you perhaps don’t have to hand wash.

These are cute, and I can see there they will probably do the job, but the are NOT easy to get on the bird. Our bird HATES them!! I realize he will probably have to get use to it, but I don’t see us putting them on very much, just because of the hassle to get it done. They are brightly colored and fit a bird the size of a cockatiel well. I really can imagine using the leash??? A young kid would probably end up hurting the bird if they were putting them on. Certainly not kid friendly. Also a little easier with two working at it. I’m sure with practice and the bird getting comfortable with it, it may become easier to do…

My bird wears a harness now. She has been taught to wear it for years. It is not a diaper style, though she has worn those in the past. I was really hopeful that these would work, as they looked like they would fit her larger than average body better. (She is not fat, she is larger than the norm in height, width, and length.)
Unfortunately, these do not work for my bird. She isn’t thrilled with things going over her head, but knows that if I’m putting a harness on her, it usually means we are going on an adventure, so she is willing to accept the harness over her head so she can go outside. Going over the head was normal, but trying to get the lower portion of the harness wrapped around her hips, behind her legs, over her tail, and hold the two sides on top of her while I get the flap on her back down to them… It just is too many things that are all disconnected and disjointed. After four tries, she had enough and refuses to get near them again.
The structure of the lower portion makes the flaps that have the hook and loop closures on them slide right off her back and then I’m fishing for them while trying to keep her from grabbing the shoulder straps again and the ONLY time I managed to get this sort of fastened, it only fastened on one side and promptly twisted around her and put pressure on one of her wings.
The leash is good quality, and very long, though I think it might be a little too long for smaller birds. The plastic/rubber bit on the end, I don’t know if that is supposed to be a handle or something, but if so, that’s ridiculous for small birds. All of the smaller birds I’ve ever had or worked with were very active and usually needed two hands to keep them occupied. Having to hold onto a leash end almost guarantees a bad end. It should go around the wrist and sit there comfortably. The rubber thing prevents it from sitting nicely on a wrist, it sticks out on both sides and catches on everything.
This isn’t too dissimilar to some of the other diaper harnesses I’ve used, that the bird has long outgrown, but the fastening on this leaves much to be desired. It’s not at all easy to put on or take off. The hoop and loop closure does not grip well enough, in my personal opinion, to be safe. And finally, the shoulder straps are thin enough that if my bird actually would wear this, she’d chew through the shoulder straps in mere minutes.
I really wanted to like these. But I do not think they are safe or easy enough to put on a bird who is already very familiar with wearing a harness. These would be an absolute nightmare on a bird unfamiliar with harnesses.
I will give one extra star for nice fabric and a good quality leash, but I remove 3 stars total for all of the issues, safety concerns, and the poor design. (And obviously, no pictures of this on my bird.)

We wanted to be able to take our two cockatiels outside with us and them still be safe. We thought this might be a good solution – the jury is still out on this. The bird diapers arrived quickly and look cute. The materials seems okay. First problem, putting these things on your bird and getting a good fit. Our female bird seemed to do much better than our male. She let us put the diaper on without too much of a fuss and the diaper seemed to fit pretty good and allowed he to walk around on us or on the table. The mle absolutely hated everything about it. He did not want us to put it on him and fought hard the entire time. Once it was on him he was miserable. It fit losely and he kept getting his foot caught in it. This is a safety hazard and stress. Both birds hated the bow ties and both bit at them until both became unstitched and we tossed them. I like the leash as it allows the female to fly a little bit. The male never tried to fly and was just pissed the entire time. The good thing is that the female finally relaxed and would sit on our shoulder and look around. Neither was able to poop on us. Cleaning the diapers, though, was a pain and gross. You basically turn them inside out and just wash them by hand in the sink. We will see how long these hold up. I’m still trying to get the male used to it. I only cautiously recommend these at this time.
