It’s a solid purchase. My son got a bird for Xmas with sharp nails and is a little poo machine. This is thick enough that he doesn’t feel the nails and it def helps save his t-shirts from the little bird bombs. My only complaint is the color choice. I wish there was more of a variety.

We have 2 cockatiels that are spoiled rotten. We have them out of their cage and on us daily. Long ago we started using shoulder bibs to keep the poop off our clothing. Currently we have three bibs, but this newest 4th one is by far my wife’s favorite. It arrived quickly an well packaged. Immediately my wife really liked it. The build quality is really good; the fabric is really soft and light. The stitching is good and the buttons snap firmly. She loved the styling. She commented that it looks like a piece of clothing instead of something utility. She said it could easily be a ‘cape’ in a women’s clothing store. She also really likes the collar on it. Our other three bibs do not have collars. The fabric has texture to it, which our birds love because they don’t slip on it like one of our other bibs. The length is great too. Longer than our other bibs so more protection for your clothing. It washes easily too and gets really clean. The funny thing is, my wife also wore it when we made bbq outside as a bib to protect her clothing and she didn’t even have the birds with her. The only downside is that it look feminine, where our other bibs are gender neutral. All that really mean is that my wife never has to worry about me wearing it – which is fine with her! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I absolutely adore this. It was the only one on Amazon that had a cute pattern, so I paid extra – I do think this is overpriced. I wish there were many cute patterns to choose from at $15-20 each. The fit, the design, the feel, everything is good about this shoulder protector. I like wearing this around my shoulders just for the extra warmth when I’m doing sitting activities.
Now, the birds. I mostly got this for my conure because he insists on being a shoulder birb. It’s kind of funny, because so far he hasn’t pooped on this yet, but it seems like when I’m wearing something I don’t want poop on, he sneaks one in there. I’m sure it’ll happen though, and when it does, I appreciate that it will blend in better because of the pattern.
I love that I can tuck my hands under this when I’m interacting with my birds that are afraid of hands, because it puts them more at ease and helps them focus on my face and my voice. My conure loves it when I tuck my arms underneath the front and make a shelf for him in front of my face. The fabric is perfect for birdy feet; I have a Quaker with missing nails/toe tips, and even he can hang on. Nails don’t get caught; no snags. Conure loves to peck at the strawberries and nibble on the fabric.
5/5 would buy again.

I absolutely love this thing. It’s so nice to just not have to care about your favourite shirt being pooped on, lol. Chibea almost has don’t poop on Mom down, but those claws are still sharp and this shawl solves that problem too! I highly recommend this for any bird owner 😁

I recently purchased the Reusable Parrot Diaper & Shoulder Protector – Poop Catcher Cloak for my conure, and it has made bird time so much easier. The white, square, large size fits perfectly and offers great coverage without making my bird uncomfortable. It’s lightweight, easy to put on, and surprisingly cute. My parrot was a little hesitant at first, but after a couple of tries, he adjusted quickly and now hops onto my shoulder without me worrying about messes.
I also appreciate how easy it is to clean and reuse. After a few sessions, I just rinse it off, let it dry, and it’s ready for the next playtime. I was thrilled to find this parrot poop cape available on Amazon! I have four parrots and they love to ride around on my shoulders when I am cooking, cleaning or doing other chores. This cape solves several problems common to all bird owners. It keeps the poop off your clothes and is much more stylish than wearing a towel! I will feel quite fashionable when I take my birds on short trips to the store. The soft material is easy to grip and prevents their wickedly sharp claws from digging into your skin as they struggle to maintain balance. The short collar protects your neck from nibbles, and it prevents your clothes from getting holes because some parrots absolutely love to chew on fabric. An unintended benefit is that the cape makes a great bib for messy eaters, both people and birds!
The fabric is surprisingly soft and feels wonderful to the touch. It’s very absorbent and easy to machine wash. The sizing was okay for me even though I am far from skinny. I can’t snap the top snap, but that’s fine and it’s still quite usable. The snaps are the same gray color as the cape and blend in for a more elegant look. It was so comfortable that I continued to wear it even after the birds went to bed because it kept my arms warm. I love it!
