Install is definitely a two person job. Not hard but time consuming. Worst part was threading the net with the rope because of the length and susceptibility to tangling. I ended up having to cut the rope and tie it back together a few times to deal with tangles and to make it easier to work with.
I did not use the hooks in the package (my balcony already had them installed in each corner and the front but they look a bit on the small side. Also, the netting was about 6 inches too short for me so I had to cut excess off the bottom and stitch it to extend the length. I did this by using the nylon rope and weaving it between the overlapping nets. Worked like a charm! Also, BUY EXTRA LONG ZIP TIES FROM THE DOLLAR TREE BEFORE YOU START AND THANK ME LATER. The ones that came with it are very short, thin and break easily.
Love my new catio! Not sure about the longevity of it though and seems a tad bit flimsy. Will update this review if it falls apart.

I’ve had this up for several months now that it’s cool enough for my cat to be outside. I layered it with mosquito netting to keep bugs out. It seems strong and sturdy, and she’s tried hanging from it but can’t get out. Highly recommend it! I don’t know how it will hold up in the heat though. It was easy to install (just used some hook screws on the balcony and screwed it across the top, and stretched it out and screwed it across the bottom). It is very large and I didn’t need the whole amount. The wiring is big enough for cats to fit their paws, but the mosquito netting stops that.

I wish I had discovered this sooner!! I already have a catio but I wanted something cat proof that I could use on window areas and on certain doors that I wanted to leave open for increased airflow and cooling throughout my house. In effect t I am using it as a screen. My goodness is this wonderful….it worked out perfectly…is barely noticeable and is strong mesh netting my big boy tested it out the first day…I had the door open and he did a run up if you will to the top…the mesh did a great job.. it didn’t budge…and he’s a 15lb cat maybe a bit more but he got up there held on to the mesh for a bit then jumped down….I feel totally confident that it’s going to hold up. It would be perfect for an outdoor catio. I love it!!!

It’s probably OK unless you have concrete like I do. My slab is concrete and the walls around my balcony are stone. If you’re renting, drilling into the concrete is not ideal. I wish I would have said that, I would not have purchased had I known that was the only way to install it.
