I cut out the bottom and reinforce all stitching. This keeps the flies off my horses lips. I deducted one star because if I do not reinforce these on my own sewing machine, they fall apart. Now I just reinforce them before ever using; it’s easier than doing repair.

After taking in an older horse in great need of teeth being floated, this came in extremely handy. Of course we scheduled an appointment with the vet to come out and get her mouth taken care of- but this girl was dropping much needed feed and our vet couldn’t come out for a couple weeks unless it was an “emergency”. I ordered this, and 2 days later it was delivered in time for evening feeding.
This only holds a scoop and a half comfortably, however it’s easy to quick take off and add more feed inside. Our girl was not excited the first couple times I put this on her, however she quickly learned the routine and began to put her mouth in the bag without being asked to (and now looks forward to it).
I’m not sure how much of her powdered supplements she receives- but I’m certain she’s getting all her Sr. Feed and pellet supplements. It works amazingly well for our immediate need, and it appears well made. I do appreciate that the buckles are plastic- if for some reason the bag got caught up while my back is turned I’m confident the feed bag would break without my horse getting hurt.
I’ve used this nearly 3wks now- and honestly am still using it after the dental work was done because it helps ensure not bite of her expensive Sr. Feed is wasted. I will definitely come back to order more if I am in the need again. Definitely a great buy- especially for horses that are waiting on their dental vet appt!

Nice size grain bags I have a horse who has a very large head and this fit him great. Pretty durable but did get a small rip towards the bottom of the bag but that was more on my horse than the bag

These are great, durable feed bags for my crew of 5 equines. This completely solved the issue of fighting and stealing others food and now I have peace of mind that everyone is getting their own calories and supplements. They love getting their bags on for breakfast and everyone eats peacefully together.
The bags are easy to adjust, easy to get on and off and have a bit of elastic on straps for just enough give. I have a big Quarter Horse that I need to fully extend straps to end but still works comfortably for him. My 2 donkeys have little heads and the bag part is pretty long for them so I simply roll it down a bit and it’s perfect for them. These bags are easy to clean, I just spray down with a hose and hang to dry. Overall, a great feed bag for the price!

I received the item on time, and it was exactly as described. I had never used one before, but I decided to give it a try because I was having issues feeding multiple horses with different diets using a bucket—it was causing too many problems. This feed bag has been a great solution. I can put it on the horse easily, and they’re able to eat without interference from other horses. It has made feeding time much smoother and stress-free. I especially like the elastic feature—it makes it very easy to put on and take off. Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase and would definitely buy it again.

I was pleasantly surprised how my horse preferred this feedbag over more costly Cashel I’ve bought in the past. This feedbag has a collapsable netting construction & seems more comfortable for my horse. The material netting is not sturdy to last for more than a couple months without giving way to netting holes & holes starting thru the bottom. Had only 2 months & already must order new ones due to grain spilling thru new holes in both bags. The height is a bit shorter than Cashel but perfect for adult horse size & holds plenty of grain. Horse’s nose is fully immersed in eating with easy-to-breathe netting & a bottom that holds moistened grain till holes occur. No grain was tossed out with horse occasionally tossing his head to flip remaining grain back to bottom center while eating. My horse finished every morsel without those irritating corner seams holding onto leftover grain. Washes easily & hangs to dry. Straps are adustable & allow for elastic motion while eating. Appeared durable & made well but didn’t hold up well for long where netting meets the bottom. Getting 2 feedbags for the price is necessary. I don’t think the more expensive feedbags hold up for more than 6-8 months before needing replacement, at least mine didn’t. I’m relying on reviews to find better quality to last at least 4-6 months at more reasonable costs than steadily rising costs of Cashel.
