When we purchased this item, we thought it would be like the old horse liniment my husband used to use on his horse in the 70’s. He also used it on his hands. Although it’s very strong in menthol smell that we love, the strength isn’t as strong as he used to use. But, we both love the smell and use it on our shoulders and knees. My husband has also found that it works great to keep mosquitoes at bay, which is a huge plus. So, the ONLY reason I gave it 4 stars was due to the fact that’s it’s not as powerful as he is used to.
