Our grouchy and demanding adult feline
room-mate was a feral kitten, so he ALWAYS wants outside. He has ripped open every screen in the house, to the point where the only windows we can open now are the ones with chicken wire stapled to the outside of them!! No joke!! Even dug up the linoleum and shredded the wood floor underneath the front door. Like- tunnel boring machine down? ‘No problem, pencil in this lady’s cat til it gets out the shop’ kinda desperation to claw his way outside. (And yes, he is, and has been, neutered since a kitten.)
But, he’s a real cool cucumber in his little tent!! Either he’s so content in the tent that he’s not attempted to rip it open, or it’s impermeable to his little Freddy claws. We are definitely happy customers either way!!
UPDATE 2/20/23: Apparently (according to my boyfriend, who is the one who takes our cat outside in this little tent), after quite a long time (from the date we purchased it, up until about 2 months ago), without any issues from the tent, nor the cat inside of it, something happened beyond the daily routine of cat + tent, that was outside of the tent’s reasonable scope of containment, as well as outside the reasonable scope of the cat’s attitude of complacency to be contained- a tree crew with a wood chipper in our neighborhood had been going yard to yard, eventually making our yard the next in line. As the cat, the tent, and the boyfriend were sitting in the back on one side of the house, watching the YouTubes, the tree crew along with their wood chipper came into the yard on the other side of the house. The funniest part is since we live in a trailer park, our “house” isn’t very good at hindering sound, and with the aluminum siding, and the way the broadside rows of trailers all run parallel to each other, sound actually amplifies as it bounces between neighboring trailers. So when the crew fired up that wood chipper, the cat went CRAZY in this little tent. My boyfriend said the wood chipper was SO loud, that he felt like his brain had been scrambled, so I can imagine how the cat must have been completely terrified out of his mind, trapped in a tiny screen tent, trying to tear it to shreds with super-human-cat strength, fueled with an adrenaline rush of fear, poor guy!! At the end of this long-ish story, the update on the tent is that it stood up to this fiasco like a BOSS, and the only damage it sustained that could possibly compromise its containment ability, was a tear about an inch long on the side of the lining of the zipper. Which was only caused by spontaneous super-powers our cat acquired upon hearing a wood chipper starting up. I don’t think I can count this against the quality of the tent.

Love this tent. My supposedly indoor cat is an adventurous boy who can’t be trusted not to disappear at the first opportunity. With this tent plus a cushion I can leave him out in the garden unsupervised for short periods and know he’s getting some fresh air and entertainment from watching the birds etc. It can’t be all bad as he’s chosen to sleep in it indoors too. It seems fairly robust and survived his claws the first time he used it. I like that it has a base and therefore doesn’t need pegging down. Excellent value for the money.

Our little Stormie loves this outdorr tent! He weighs just 2 pounds and as you can see in the photo, this tent is a good size for him. I have a 25 pound cat who would most likely not be very comfortable in it. Stormie can run and play in this tent while enjoying the fresh air. It’s very lightweight and easy to use. It pops right open but putting it away is a bit more difficult so I just let it out the way it is. Over all good product and would purchase again.

This is our third purchase of the same item. The first one blew away on a windy day to never be seen again. We bought a replacement, but our cat eventually scratched holes in the netting. Because their nails can’t get caught in the netting, it does rip somewhat easily, BUT I still think it’s a great product and for $22 you can’t go wrong. It folds up easily and it’s the perfect size.

This the product is amazingly easy to assemble and brilliant to disassemble and put back into the storage bag. I purchased this for my little Tortoise which she appears to really enjoy and is completely safe in there from predators, I can keep an eye on her whilst she is basking in the sunshine whilst she looks around her surroundings and enjoys the outdoor surroundings, as well as being safe indoors whilst I’m busy. Easy to wipe down if she makes a mess or from water spills, plenty of room for her to walk and have her bridge/shelter, food and water dishes, a great buy and would recommend, would be better with ground peg hooks and if a little cheaper as I found this product a bit cheaper on another site after i purchased this.

At least now she’s not tearing down the window blinds trying to get to me when I’m sitting outside. My struggle was how to get it outside with her in it. I don’t know that the bottom would hold her weight to try to pick it up and carry it. I just sort of grabbed one end and dragged her out the door in it. She didn’t appreciate that much but once she realized she was on the porch she was happy.
