This easy to install door was a great alternative to other options. The only downfall is that your door needs to be open (obviously) but that doesn’t matter when weather is nice or at night. The cats will need training too, didn’t realize they can’t see mesh well or at all, so they’ll have to get used to plastic meaning a door which isn’t intuitive next to what seems to be an open space to them. However, they trained themselves to use the dog doors so I have faith with treats they’ll get it. This door is also a good option if you do have dogs, so the cats can get peace outside without the dog being able to bother them.

My Sunshine ☀️ 🐩 enjoys using her door. She waits by it until she is told to go out/in. She prefers actually walking out with me, bcuz she is that kind of dog, but has no issue going through the door with ease on her own if I’m sitting on the deck and she wants some reprieve from it.
She does look for permission before use and once I say “you can go in, she goes right through.
I installed it with my screen door still up. My son sat on the other side to hold it in place while we worked together 2 screw it in place. Make sure you get a really sharp blade to trim the screen once it’s in place just cuz the frayed screen makes it catch.
I used a diff one previously but I I think this is stronger, more durable and stays in tact a lot better!

It took my cat a few days to figure it out, but now it’s second nature. Easy to install. Definitely make sure it’s close to the window screen metal bar, so your cat can walk easy through it.

Kudos to the seller for the lightning-fast replacement due to a faulty door spring. Everything works exactly as advertised, except for the local raccoon committee. They’ve mastered the red locking latch and now treat my porch like a VIP lounge. If you don’t have “trash pandas” with engineering degrees, this is perfect.
